Roskomnadzor tried getting Bellingcat removed from Mastodon
The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media tried to get Bellingcat removed but failed.
Abuse report via Hetzner
A few days ago, on the 14th of December I got an abuse report from our hosting company Hetzner via email that had me a little bit flabbergasted.
The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media in Russia apparently demanded the takedown of the official account for @Bellingcat account on mstdn.social, one of the Mastodon instances I host.
Ofcourse I denied the 'request' and shared this publicly on Mastodon:

Today December the 16th I got a reply from Hetzner directly and it said what we all hoped for!
